Omnii is a collective based in London, aiming to inspire women, trans and non-binary sound enthusiasts to operate in all aspects of audio production. We run workshops to provide and supplement technical knowledge both in the studio and in live sound.

Our History
Omnii was set up in 2016 by Francine Perry and Naomi Jackson as a project within Goldsmiths Music Studios, where we began by delivering workshops in studio engineering to women, non-binary and trans students at the University. The success and popularity of these workshops proved the importance and necessity of their existence; after the workshops participants felt more confident in the studio, and were more likely to make use of the facilities.
Following the success of these workshops at Goldsmiths Music Studios, we expanded Omnii’s core team and began running workshops in live sound engineering, as well as hosting guest speakers for workshops in a range of different professional audio engineering fields including Mandy Parnell, Marta Salogni, Steph Marziano, Katie Tavini, and Slow Shudder.
We published our first zine, Figure of Eight: A Zine for Womxn and Non-Binary Sound Enthusiasts, with support from Wired4Music Generate and the Goldsmiths Alumni & Friends fund.
In 2019 we developed our first national workshop series, Gain Change, funded by PRS Foundation. We ran workshops in studio engineering at Old Chapel in Leeds, Start Together studios in Belfast, and workshops in live sound engineering at The Rose Hill in Brighton, and as part of Boudica Festival in Coventry.
Our work would not be possible without the support of our funders, partners and collaborators past and present, including: Goldsmiths University of London; PRS Foundation; Girls Rock London; Wired4Music; Mayor of London ‘Sounds Like London’ Campaign; Damudomi; Roundhouse; Red Bull Normal Not Novelty; Native Instruments; ROLI; Ableton; DIY Space; Boudica Festival; and the Academy of Contemporary Music.
